President Obama by: adam

With every passing day the world grows smaller, it's people more connected, it's challenges shared. People are closer together today than in any other time in history - from the wealthiest nations to the poorest countries, the same products are traded and the same images are displayed. This past tuesday people in all corners of the earth saw the images and heard the sounds of a nation tearing down it's great barrier of inequality.
The world watched as a nation wept and embraced in jubilation. It was Martin Luther King's dream realised, the fall of the Berlin Wall and the New Deal. It was the renewed hope of a nation that had felt dreams were fruitless...

Apple, ClarkConnect and UNSW by: adam
|

Three things I have been working on for the past while, or atleast those things consuming the majority time. First of is Apple, with the introduction of the Mac Pro today and my joy with my MacBook Pro, things are definately looking up for Apple. Secondly is the brilliant Linux distro ClarkConnect. With an easy installation and web administration interface its the perfect linux distro to set up a file server, web server or firewall amongst other things. Using it and an HP e-Vectra you have one nice small file and webserver- which I am glad to say I now have. Granted it is Linux so if you actually need to access the system it is at the command line, I would prefer Mac OS X server anyday but who can afford that for a home network? Then there's UNSW, which is quite possibly the best uni around and definately has the best Computer Science and Engineering department in Australia...

New Website! by: adam
|
|
Once again we have a new web site. It's always so exciting when I make a new web site or update an old one and then some how I never keep up with maintaining them. Anyhow I hope this time it will be a little different. I plan on writing an article about something in the news or posting someting which looks interesting every now and again. At any rate, we'll see how it goes.
Regards
